How it Works

How do I create a project?
Answer coming soon. In the meantime, contact support.
Do I need to get roof measurements?

No. We will order an aerial roof sketch for your project. We do ask that you submit photos when placing your order so we can confirm the roof is accurate. Aerial roof measurements rely on aerial imagery that may be out of date if the home had any additions made after the last aerial taken in that area.

What about building codes?

If you request building codes for that location, we use a service called OneClickCode.com.

The building code repoert will let you know which building code is being utilized at that location. It provides guidance for the following items:

  • Ice & Water on Eaves
  • Drip Edge
  • Valley Liner
  • Underlayment
  • Chimney Crickets

It also provides guidance regarding if Code is enforced, and if a building permit is required.

The report will also provide contact information for the Building Department for additional information.

These reports are a great addition when submitting your report to an insurance carrier for approval.

Can I get a weather report for my specific location?

Yes. If requested, we can get a wind or hail report for your project location.

We use Canopy Weather for our weather reports.

The report will be based on the date you select and go back up to 3 years.

Do I need to take photos of the roof?

Yes. We require photos of the roof to allow us to confirm the roof matches the aerial sketch. This also allows us to confirm vents, flashings, and other roofing components that are installed on the roof to ensure we do not leave anything off of your estimate.

What if I have multiple roof types/materials on a roof?

No problem. When filling out your roof estimate order, you will be asked about the different materials that exist on the roof. You will be able to enter in multiple material types to ensure we create your estimate accordingly.

What about felt and ice/water shield?

If Ice & Water Shield is required for your roof, please make sure to let us know when you place the order. And let us know where you want it included.

Do you want it on the eaves only, Up the valley? On the rakes as well?

If you are unsure where you want it on the roof, or if is is needed based on your location, we would suggest a Building Code report to help determine this for your roof.

Can you include solar panels, skylights and other accessories in my estimate?

Of course. We don't want to leave those out of your estimate. When you are placing your order, there is an option regarding these items. Make sure to fill this section in.

Again, this is why we also request photos of the roof to ensure we don't short change your estimate.

What if I have an Insurance Company estimate? Can I upload it for review?

By all means. We will review their estimate on your behalf to ensure that we are not missing anything the carrier may be including in their estimate.

Questions about an Order

4 items
How long does it take for my estimate to be completed?

Once we receive your order, we will place an order for the aerial roof sketch. We will typically get those back in within 24 hours. Depending on the time of day the order is placed, you may receive your roof estimate back that same day or by the next business day.

I Submitted a Roof Order But Need To Make A Change.

If you need to make a change to your order, please make that request as soon as possible. Once we have completed your order and sent it out to you, you will need to request a revision.

Depending on the your plan, revisions may cost you $25.00 (Bronze), or count as 1 of your allowed revisions (Silver).

There Is An Error On My Estimate. What Do I Need To Do?

Let us know if you see an error on the estimate. If the error was something we overlooked, there is no charge for that revision. We try hard to get it right based on the data we have, but sometimes we do make mistakes. If we made an error, no charge for any corrections to get it right for you.

If there is something that need to be corrected, but not our error, we will handle that as a revision based on the pricing associated with your plan.

How Many Revisions Can I Make?

If you need revisions, we are happy to help.

If you are on the pay as you go Bronze Plan, revisions cost $25.00. When requesting revisions, please try and include all the revisions you need in one request. You will be charged each time you send us in a request for changes, so make sure to tell us about vents, solar panels, material changes, ice & water issues all in one request. All those changes when submitted in the same request will total $25.00. If you submit a request to adjust for solar panels, and we send you back the revised estimate, and then you want to change the type/quantity of vents, that is another change and charge of $25.00. We don't want to charge you extra, so please make sure to include all your revisions in one request.

If you are on the Silver Plan, the first 2 revisions are included at no charge. After the first 2 revisions, you will then be charged $25.00 for each additional request for changes.

If you are on the Gold Plan, all revisions are included at no charge.
